The Humble Co. has been officially PETA certified for the Humble Brush and Natural Toothpaste. This is however not thier first certification, as The Humble Co. has been accredited by The Vegan Society, NATRUE, and Forest Stewardship Council! The Vegan Society is the oldest vegan organization and foundation in the world, founded in 1944. NATRUE, on the other hand, is quite young, founded in 2007, with the commitment to promote and protect Natural and Organic Cosmetics worldwide. Lastly, The Forest Stewardship Council, founded in 1993, is a not-for-profit organization that sets the standards for what is a responsibly managed forest, both environmentally and socially.
All the associations have set standards that must be achieved to be able to put their recognized trademarks on products. The Humble Co. worked tirelessly to assure that products exceeded the essential criteria to be certified.
Their Humble Brush and Natural Toothpaste do not include any animal ingredients, products, or derivatives. Unlike some traditional toothbrushes, the Humble Brush is also not coated in animal products. With our bamboo toothbrushes, we are helping to protect animals by not only reducing plastic waste in oceans and landfills but also ensuring that the manufacturing of our toothbrushes does not contain any animal products or involve any animal testing. By having zero involvement with animals in our production, Humble Brush and Natural Toothpaste pass the criteria of The Vegan Society!
Their Natural Toothpaste is 100% certified natural! Accredited by NATRUE, Humble’s Natural Toothpaste is made of only natural, derived natural, and nature-identical ingredients. NATRUE defines natural ingredients as unmodified, derived natural ingredients are the result of chemical reaction processes on natural ingredients, and nature-identical ingredients are either pigments, minerals or preservatives – they are reproduced in the laboratory but exist in nature. By having all natural ingredients and abiding by the standards of NATRUE, Humble’s Natural Toothpaste passes with flying colors!
The Humble Brush is not only good for your teeth but also good for our planet! Made from bamboo, the Humble Brush further limits needless plastic waste in oceans and landfills. To be as sustainably conscious as possible, The Humble Co. sources the Humble Brush’s materials from bamboo forests that are Forest Stewardship Council certified, managed in a way that preserves the natural ecosystem and benefits the lives of local people and workers. FSC-certified forests also do not participate in needless deforestation and forest degradation!
